Four members ( Billy, Noelle, Ian G. and Malcolm) turned up for the walk. Malcolm's choice of Craig MacRanaich from Glen Dochart was agreed on and we were soon leaving Ledcharrie farm along the old railway track in a mix of sun and blustery showers. Fortunately, our ascent from the north, up a good track, was well sheltered from the prevailing south westerly gale and, after a short, steep pull up heathery slopes in fresh snow, we soon reached the summit. This was too windy for us to linger and we headed back down by , more or less, the route of ascent, escaping a soaking under trees just before the farm.
I left the camera in the car, thinking mistakenly that there'd be no views. In fact the cloud level remained above our summit for most of the time and the occasional shafts of sunlight produced superb effects. Sorry but no pics.
We returned via Glen Ogle and the Lade Inn, arriving home about 3.00 pm.
Malcolm
