Farragon Hill / Meall Tairneachan - Twin Corbetts near Aberfeldy. The first has a working open-cast Barytes mine just below the summit and the area is crossed by tracks for mine vehicles. A bit of a scar on the landscape but makes for easy access, meaning the 11-mile route, with 880m of ascent, can be completed in about 5.5hrs (longer if snow's lying). Not bad for two Corbetts. Start at foot of Foss Mine track.

Aonach Mor + Beag - The Aonachs form a high ridge, several km long to the east of Ben Nevis and Carn Mor Dearg.  The east and west slopes are steep overlooking remote corries.  Ascending from Glen Nevis the summit of Aonach Beag can be reached from two routes; via the south west ridge or by the more scenic, but slightly longer, route via Sgurr a’Bhuic (8km; 1200m; 4hrs).  Aonach  Mor lies some 3km north via a traverse of the bealach at 1080m (11km; 1330m; 5hrs).  The 7km descent from Aonach Mor involves retracing the route south for about 1km then heading west down a steep spur to the bealach at 830m under Carn Mor Dearg and then walking out through Corrie Giubhsachan to the start point in Glen Nevis.
