Log 14 Mar 2010

5 members met up at the car park at 7:00 a.m.   They set off in Donald's car, Kevin, Andy, David O'Donnell and Noelle as passengers.

The main objective was Beinn Bheula.  The car was parked near Succothmore Farm, just off the A815, and the group set off at 9:00 a.m. along the Cowal Way to the Bealach an Lochain, where the party split into two groups.
Donald and David headed north, skirting the Graham Beinn Lochain and headed straight for STOB NA BOINE-FHINN, descending via its western shoulder and then by forest track back to the car.

Kevin, Andy and Noelle headed south to the summit of BEINN BHEULA, then headed west over Carnack Mor, and north back to the Cowal Way track, meeting up with Donald and David at 2:30.
Some light rain at the start of the day soon disappeared into a clear but windy day with good summit views.

Vital liquid refreshment was taken at the Stagecoach Inn, Cairndow, and the party reached Milngavie by 5:00 p.m.

Jim did his bit as co-ordinator for the day by seeing the party off from Milngavie car park, and then returned to the warmth of the domestic bed.
One member of the party did say that it was somewhat cold on the hills.
