Log 2 Dec 2012

Another good turn out on what proved to be a fine winter hillwalking day in the Arrochar Alps.
Malcolm, Kevin, Alex, Ron, Ian G, Drew and Billy headed by the direct route up to the summit of BEINN NARNAIN with a reasonable sprinkling of snow underfoot.   The conditions were perfect with hardly a breath of wind and views to die for.
After our individual feasts on the summit we headed down to the bealach where Drew continued on to climb BEINN IME whilst Billy, Kevin, Ron and Ian went up THE COBBLER.
The descent via the new path proved to be relatively interesting with shades of Torville and Dean - crampons were required!
We arrived back at the car park for 16:15 and headed to the Village inn for the obligatory libation.
