DUN RIG SUNDAY 18 NOVEMBER 2012

Kevin and Malcolm set out from Peebles on the old drove road to Yarrow Water, passing over Kailzie Hill ( where we met the sun), Kirkhope Law and Birkscairn hill before branching off over Stake law and Dun Rigg ( covered in a light dusting of snow). We then descended into Glensax, stopping for lunch outside the bothy before continuing  to the car ( c.4.5h).  A pleasant moorland walk, mostly on a good track except for the final section up to Dun Rigg.

Weather was dry and sunny with a cold breeze that was strong enough to keep us going until we'd descended into Glensax.

Pints of excellent "Edinburgh Gold" were taken in the Crown Hotel, Peebles.
